Description:
Ruth was a Moabite woman who joined the people of Israel and became part of the family line that led to King David. Her story takes place during the period of the Judges and shows loyalty, kindness, faith, and acceptance into Israel.
The Book of Ruth tells how Ruth stayed with her Israelite mother-in-law Naomi, came to Bethlehem, and married Boaz. Through their descendants came Obed, Jesse, and eventually King David, making Ruth an important ancestor of the Davidic dynasty.
