Aaron (Hight Priest) (jan 1, 1529 BC – jan 1, 1406 BC)
Description:
Aaron, brother of Moses and Miriam, was the first High Priest of Israel. He served during the Exodus, the wilderness period, and the building of the Mishkan/Tabernacle. From a Jewish perspective, Aaron represents the beginning of the priesthood and is remembered as a lover of peace, though he is also connected to the sin of the Golden Calf. His descendants became the Kohanim, the priestly family of Israel.
