Description:

Yair Lapid served as prime minister in 2022 after the rotation agreement with Bennett. He came from a centrist, secular political background and had previously been a journalist and finance minister. As prime minister, he led Israel through elections and dealt with security and diplomatic issues.

His term was also short, but he represented the centrist alternative to Netanyahu. After the 2022 election, Netanyahu returned to power.
