Naftali Bennett (jan 1, 2021 – jul 1, 2022)
Description:
Naftali Bennett became prime minister in 2021 as part of a broad coalition that included right-wing, centrist, left-wing, and Arab parties. He was the first religiously observant prime minister of Israel and came from a nationalist-right background. His government’s main purpose was to replace Netanyahu after years of political deadlock.
Bennett’s term was short, but it was unusual because of how ideologically diverse the coalition was. He later handed the premiership to Yair Lapid under their rotation agreement.
