"Following the discovery of the Combination Phase hub in Halivand, the commencement of a full assault on all known STARKILL hubs was ordered by HOME. Military assets from McConnell Air Force Base were acquired for the purpose of destruction of the targets. This operation, codenamed OPERATION: FIRELIGHT, would see the full destruction of all known STARKILL instances across Kansas and Nebraska. On February 2nd, 1999, OPERATION: FIRELIGHT commenced. The KWVE-TV Combination Phase hub was targeted first and destroyed by AGM-114 Hellfire missiles. Minor infestations around rural Pratt County were located and destroyed by HOME Hazard Containment personnel. Remaining Vocalization Strain Transportation Phase instances were also targeted and shot down by A-10 Thunderbolt II air support craft.""Following the attack, scientists from the HOME Department of Xenobiological Neurology arrived on scene to examine the damage levels and take samples. Some samples were taken from the Vocalization Strain Transportation Phase hubs. These samples were studied in detail in the HOME laboratories to understand the advanced airway processing methods used to create lift devices."
