OPERATION: LANDFALL (22h 46min, jan 15, 1999 y – 22h 46min, jan 17, 1999 y)
Description:
"Primary contact teams consisted of speciality operatives from the HOME Department of Hazard Containment, notably LIGHTBRINGER-class Hazard Containment operatives. The LIGHTBRINGER-class, or just LIGHTBRINGERS, are HOME field operatives equipped with a self-contained oxygen supply, S-Valkyrie Type III Gas-Powered Extended Range Torches, Gamma Radiation Protective Suits, Biohazard Protective Lining, Climate Controlled Filtration, and Extended PanaX-Vision Heads-Up Display visors. The LIGHTBRINGER operatives are specially trained for anomalous biohazard containment procedures. All LIGHTBRINGER operatives arrive at the impact scene prior to any research personnel. This is to ensure safety during handling of xenobiological material. During OPERATION: LANDFALL, LIGHTBRINGER teams were deployed via helicopter to the Greensburg crash site. Following deployment of hazard containment teams, research personnel from the HOME Department of Celestial Biological Study are sent to gather samples and study the impacts of CBE biology on local wildlife. Hazard teams extract and clean any hazardous biological material left over at the crash site. The areas affected by CBE biology are to be completely burned."
"Following a complete burn procedure lasting 48 hours on January 17th, 1999, the remaining structure of the CBE Sensory Organ was detonated with AN/FO explosive compound. Remaining particles were later incinerated. All local instances of biomass accumulation by STARKILL cells were subsequently destroyed and thoroughly incinerated."
"The HOME Department of Press and Media released disinformation campaigns to hide the existence of the AZ-001 objects. Local broadcasts were ordered to air chemical spill warnings to explain the large military presence in Valentine, Nebraska and Greensburg, Kansas. Local law enforcement were briefed by HOME personnel. HOME instated trained hazard containment operatives to handle the duties of law enforcement and order in the affected areas. Threat tactics were employed to media and law enforcement agencies to prevent information leakage among those who were given classifed information about HOME operations."
