The Grain Heists 1521-1527 (jan 1, 1521 – oct 1, 1527)

Description:

Four decades of chronic food shortages and famine are finally put to an end when Masuka Kasujin, a conqueror who rode in from the Outlands of the black desert, is declared as Emperor of the Arakanids.

Among the terms of surrender imposed upon the Heartlander noblemen was a six-year period in which vast quantities of grain were to be surrendered to Masuka, to be rationed and publicly distributed among the masses.

Though not enough to sustain an entire nation, the so-called "grain heists" and other initiatives of the new rulership provided just enough for farms to reopen and for things to begin to stabilise and return to normalcy.
