Marshall Plan- Kait C (jun 5, 1947 – dec 31, 1951)

Description:

The Marshall Plan, also known as the European Recovery Program (ERP), was a United States led initiative that gave over 13 billion dollars in economic help to rebuild Western European economies after World War II. This program was established by secretary of state George Marshall, and was made to help stop the spread of communism, bring strong production back to life, and increase trade. The United States required different European nations to work together which was needed to stabilize democracies in Europe. The impact on European countries was very positive. It led to prevention in economic collapse, sped up the agriculture and industrialization in western Europe, and lastly helped set the ground for longer-term economic strength. This program can be considered one of the most successful foreign aid programs throughout the history of the United States.
