Description:

On December 13, 2025, a spree shooting began at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, U.S., during the second day of final examination week for the fall semester. Cláudio Manuel Neves Valente, a Portuguese national and former student of the university, entered the School of Engineering and killed two students and wounded nine other students as they attended a review session in preparation for final exams. Neves Valente fled the scene before police arrived.
