Constitution Protection War (sep 11, 1917 – feb 15, 1919)
Description:
With the collapse of Qing China, several warlords began popping up across China. The complete and utter collapse of China was over caused by the current leader of China's disregard for the constitution causing a fracture between two dictatorial governments. This period would be known as the Warlord Era. By the end, China would be fractured between a total of 13 states. In Mongolia, a deranged German born Russian nationalist would attempt to become the 2nd Genghis Khan. 5 cliques lead by warlords would pop up being the Shanxi, Ma, Sichuan, Xinjian, and Yunnan Cliques. The Tibetans would finally become an independent nation. In Manchuria the Japanese had a foothold in their Fengtian puppet state. Religious zealots would set up the Shangqing Tiuango. Foreign powers would intervene with the German Allgemeine Ostasien-Gesellschaft company taking control of coastal cities and setting up the League of Eight Provinces to control the inner land. A group of world powers would convene and setup the Legation Cities securing China's major coastal ports. The Qing government would remain with aspirations to reclaim its land.
