Alexios III Angelos (1195-1203) (apr 8, 1195 – jul 18, 1203)
Description:
After deposing his brother, Alexios led a largely unsuccessful reign, culminating in the botched defense of Constantinople in 1203 in which his cowardice got the best of him and he fled with as much treasure as he could gather in the face of an inferior foe.
