French Civil War (apr 14, 1919 – nov 4, 1919)
Description:
A General Strike by the army in France led to open revolt as Paris fell. After fierce fighting, the French Third Republic fled to Algiers and the French Fourth Republic was established. Taking full control of Paris, they formally concluded peace with Germany in the winter 1919, accepting the annexation of the rest of Lorraine, the legitimacy of the new state of Flanders-Wallonia, and agreeing to pay a heavy burden of reparations.
