History of Anti-Semitism (dec 1, 1918 – dec 3, 1934)
Description:
Germany's antisemitic roots trace back hundreds of years. The root begins in religion, the crusades spreading Christianity throughout the region. Jews were then blamed for many problems throughout society: killings and Massacres throughout the middle ages ("Blood Libel" or ritual sacrifice). They were consistently used as a scapegoat leading up to, during, and after the war. Problems with morale, food shortages, and the finanical crisis after the war were blamed on the Jews.
