Song Dynasty (jan 1, 960 – jan 1, 1279)
Description:
The song dynasty was considered the "golden age" of Chinese history even though it was divided into the north and south Song dynasties. Their emperor Zhao Kuangyin was the first emperor to sign a humanity treaty as, he was concerned for the wellbeing of the people. The Song brought many medicinal advancements as well as gunpowder and the compass. Eventually like all dynasties, the Song fell from power due to the attack of the Mongol Empire.
