The first Telephone (jan 1, 1876 – jan 1, 1900)

Description:

in 1876 Alexander Graham bell a Scottish- born scientist and teacher, successfully received a patent for the telephone. With the telephone, he found a way to transmit the human voice over wires, using electricity to create vibrations, converting this signal back to sound at the receiver. Bell's telephone used two primary components: a transmitter and a receiver. Sound waves were converted into varying electrical signals, which then recreated the sound waves at the other end, allowing for the transmission of human speech over a distance. In 1877 the Bell telephone company was founded . The number of phone users began to grow and phone lines spread to even more cities that in 1879 everyone was assigned phone numbers like we still use today, to make it easier for operators. in 1914 The Bell telephone company evolved to the popular company we know today as AT&T.
