Naval Arms Race (oct 1, 1898 – aug 1, 1914)
Description:
The Naval Arms Race was a massive buildup across Europe, specifically between the arms race between Germany and Britain. This began when Kaiser Wilhelm II who had shown and eagerness to make a naval fleet that could rival and even surpass Britain's Naval Army. This was due to the British Royal Navy being by far the strongest naval force of the time. From 1898 and later, Germany began to create a battle fleet. After Britain caught on, they too began to create a new battleship which was extremely powerful (HMS Dreadnought) in 1906. This arms race lasted until the beginning of WW1.
