The Bantu Migration (c. 3000 BCE – 1000 CE) (jan 1, 300 BC – jan 1, 1000)
Description:
Beginning around 3000 BCE, Bantu-speaking peoples embarked on a series of migrations from their homeland in the region of modern-day southeastern Nigeria and Cameroon. Over the next two millennia, they spread across Central, Eastern, and Southern Africa, reaching as far as present-day South Africa by around 1000 CE. This migration reshaped the demographic, linguistic, and cultural landscape of sub-Saharan Africa.
