Qing Dynasty (1644 CE–1912 CE) (jan 1, 1644 – jan 1, 1912)
Description:
The Qing Dynasty was founded by the Manchus and was the last imperial dynasty of China. It expanded China’s territory to its greatest extent and maintained a stable and prosperous society for much of its rule. Emperors like Kangxi and Qianlong presided over a cultural and economic high point. However, the Qing faced growing internal unrest, foreign invasions, and humiliating defeats in the Opium Wars. These pressures culminated in the 1911 Revolution, which ended over two millennia of imperial rule.
