Description:
The Tang Dynasty is often regarded as the pinnacle of Chinese civilization, especially in terms of culture, art, and international influence. Its capital, Chang’an, was one of the largest and most cosmopolitan cities in the world. The Tang era saw the flourishing of poetry, painting, and Buddhism, as well as the expansion of the civil service examination system. Despite its golden age status, the dynasty declined due to internal strife and rebellion.
