Biblical Evidences For Dating The Exodus
1. 1 King 6:1 States Solomon Started building the Temple in his fourth Year which was 480 after the Exodus.
2. 1 Kings 11:42 and 2 Chronicles 9:30 say Solomon reign for 40 years. E Thiele argues that division of the Kingdom was in 931/930
3. Thus Solomon fourth year would be 966 BC adding 480 years it bring us to 1446.
Other Argument for the Exodus states:
Israelites left Egypt around 1270-1250 BC and entered Cannan around 1230-1220 BC
1. The absence of sedentary popultions between 1900 and 1300 BC in Transjordan.
2. The Construction of the two store- cities named Pithom and Rameses after Pharaoh Seti I 1308- 1290 BC or Pharaoh Rameses II 1290 - 1224.
3.The archaeological evidence for massive and widespread devastation of Canaanite towns and cities in thirteen century Canaan.
4. An incription from the fith year if Pharaoh Merneptah 1213-1203 BC celebrating an Egyptian campaign into Canaan in which he metion “Israel” as people he encouter there
