Description:

The enlightenment as a timespan in Europe during the 17th - 18th century where society was focused on science, rights, and knowledge, as opposed to the traditional way of life. This way of thinking was centered around people believing that humans could create a better society with knowledge and logic. The enlightenment was the inspiration for many democratic revolutions, including the American revolution and the french revolution.
