Although it is clear that Mustaine has always seen Megadeth as a one-man-project that was born a long time ago before he even joined Metallica, when he was still in Panic - This is proximately when the legendary thrash metal icon and pioneer Megadeth first started as a band after Mustaine have met Ellefson, and decided it would be a good idea to play together.
