Description:

The Xinhai Revolution was the revolution that turned China from a dynasty, to a republic. It was caused due to China's failiure to resist outside powers such as Europe and Japan. Additionally, China was implementing a lot of taxes on its people, and a deep corrupted government caused unrest among the average Chinese. On October 11, 1911, the Wuchang Rebellion took place in the city on Wuchang, in which began the revolution. On February 12, 1912, Emperor Puyi abdicated and ended the Qing Dynasty
