Description:
1.5M Black Americans move out of the South to other areas of the U.S., but most specifically the North. Being pushed away from the South due to racial terrorism, segregation, unstable work and sharecropping, and towards the North where new industries provided better and more stable jobs. The migration happened in two waves: 1915-1940 and 1940-1970
