The Korean war, although not the first time we see the Truman Doctrine come into effect but was very significant. The Korean war consisted between South Korea and North Korea along with their respective allies. The North Koreans were communist, and backed by communist U.S.S.R., so in order to prevent the spread of communism joined the War on the side of South Korea.Added to timeline:
