Description:
The Korean war was between North and South Korea, and lasted from June 25, 1950 to July 27, 1953. The war started after South Korea, which was backed by the US and the UN, was invaded by North Korea, which was backed by China and the Soviet Union, in attempt to unify the country under communist ruling. Eventually, the war ended in an armistice, a truce of sorts, though no formal peace treaty was ever signed between them and they still remain divided to this day.Added to timeline:
