Native Americans planted corn, beans, and squash together, very important sometimes seen as sustainers of life. Kept diet healthy and each plant helped each other grow.
Corn: cultivated in Mexico 4000 BCE and American Southwest 2000 BCE
maize was really important as it helped people transition from hunter-gatherer societies to more stable agricultural societies
