Description:
SALT I (Strategic Arms Limitation Talks I) was a series of talks between the United States and the Soviet Union to limit the number of nuclear missiles in their arsenals. It resulted in agreements on limiting anti-ballistic missile (ABM) systems and strategic offensive arms.
