Adam: [SCREAMING] [PANICKED BREATHING] "Someone help!" [SCREAMING]

Thatcher: "... I wish there was something more I could do for you. I know you're in a lot of pain right now."

Adam: "I [GASP] know [GASP] what you want, [INHALE] and I know what you're trying to do. I'm not [GASP] afraid of you." [INHALE]

Thatcher: "I don't want you to be afraid of me, kid. I don't care about the warrant. I'm not upset with you. Just tell me what happened, everything."

Adam: "I started a group [GASP] with a girl from another school. [INHALE] She lost interest. [INHALE] That doesn't matter. I had to find a replacement, [GASP] and I hated him. [INHALE] A few months in, [GASP] we got an appointment from a woman, [GASP] and we went to her house that night."

Thatcher: "Okay... What happened?"

Adam: "Most of it [GASP] was a blur. I talked to someone. [GASP] Someone [GASP] talked to me."

Thatcher: "Who are these people? Can you describe them to me?"

Adam: "No, [GASP] I can't. It [GASP] was my fault."

Thatcher: "What was your fault?"

Adam: "Jonah, I'm paying the price. I knew this would [GASP] happen. [INHALE] He told me...[STRUGGLED BREATHING]

Thatcher: "He told you what?"

Adam: "God."

Thatcher: "God? What do you mean? Like, uh... How do you know?"

Adam: "Trust me, [GASP] I know. He makes it very clear to me."

Thatcher: "Well, um... What does He tell you exactly?"

Adam: "He wants me [GASP] to spread messages - information. I couldn't put it into words. It didn't make any sense. [GASP] It wasn't meant for me."

Thatcher: "So, when does He speak to you?"

Adam: [SOBBING] "Every day, every hour! I've just learned to plug it out... [GASP] I try to."

Thatcher: "And you think this is happening because of, what, because of him?"

Adam: "Look at what's happening to me! [GASP] Do you have a better explanation? [GASP] Have you looked around? [GASP] Why did you bring me back here? [GASP] I knew I messed up. [GASP] I think there's more to it than just..." [SOBBING]

Thatcher: "Why do you think that?"

Adam: "He hasn't spoken to me in a while..."

Thatcher: "I don't think you're alone in this. I've been seeing things, too. Sometimes I hear things in dreams, but I think that's what happens when you lock yourself into a certain mindset, I guess. I don't know about you, but-"

Adam: "And what's been keeping you so held down - hidden away?"

Thatcher: "I still have hope, kid."

Adam: "No, you don't. [GASP] You think you do. [GASP] You're not seeing things because of your isolation. [GASP] They're the ones keeping you isolated. [GASP] They tried it on me, it's all been planned out." [GASP]

Thatcher: "I'm sorry, but hallucinations have been planned out-"

Adam: "They're not hallucinations! [GASP] That's what they want you to think! [GASP You've seen your reflection, haven't you?" [GASP]

Thatcher: "Yeah."

Adam: "We don't know anything, [GASP] it's impossible. We were never in control. [GASP] No one is coming to save us; This is it."

[CHAIR CREAK]

[SPRINTING]

[DOOR SLAM]

Thatcher: "Hey, wait, Adam!"

[FOOTSTEPS]

Thatcher: "Adam!"
