Conquered
- All of Sumer, in eluding the already conquered Elamite city of Susa
- As far as Mari and Assur
- Then eventually all of Mesopotamia
Regarded as the first empire in ruled history he reigned over many city states and several people with different languages.
Akkadian was the common tongue, eventually replacing Sumerian named after Sargon's capital Akkad.
Akkadians borrowed several forms of culture from the Sumerians including certain religious aspects and adopted Sumer's cuneiform writing to their own language.
