Ruhr Occupation (jan 11, 1923 – aug 25, 1925)
Description:
After failing to make a reparation payment French and Belgian troops occupied the Ruhr region of Weimar Republic Germany. They targeted the resources of this region which worsened Germany's economy and led to hyperinflation as well as an economic crash the creation of the Dawes Plan.Added to timeline:
