Invasion of Ethiopia (jan 1, 1935 – jun 1, 1936)
Description:
The invasion of Ethiopia by Italy (Under Benito Mussolini) was an attempt to build an empire in Africa. After previous failed attempts in ethiopia (Battle of Adwa, 1996), Italy tried again, winning swiftly and decisively due to their brutal use of modern weapons. The response from the rest of the world, such as the league of Nations, was incredibly weak, and encouraged other leaders, such as germany and Japan. The result was an officially annexed Ethiopia, now apart of Italian East Africa.
