Description:
By 1974, Kurdish autonomy had failed to be implemented by the Iraqi government, and Arabization continues to be pushed on the Kurds. Iraqi troops engage in the offensive against KDP troops led by Barzani; however, the Kurds are outmatched by advanced and heavy weaponry.As a result, the conflict sees the exile of KDP members and upwards of 20,000 casualties between both sides.
