Archibald Bulloch (may 1, 1776 – mar 4, 1777)
Description:
Archibald Bulloch was a prominent patriot leader in Georgia during the American Revolution and became the state's first chief executive, serving as President and Commander-in-Chief of Georgia in 1776. He was a close ally of John Adams and a member of the Continental Congress, Bulloch played a key role in rallying support for independence. His leadership helped lay the foundation for Georgia's revolutionary government, but he died unexpectedly in 1777 before the new state constitution was completed.
