Description:

While no one knew it at the time, the imperial story was coming to a close. The noble families that had grown to hate the fiscally irresponsible Janovrics took advantage of the emperor Jans VIII's lack of an heir to propose their own candidates to the throne. War broke out at a low level, escalating as noble alliances broke down. With the eruption of Mount Tonjok in 818 and the awakening of the undead hordes, these feuds became irrelevant as the empire they sought to control no longer existed by 824.
