The Arab Spring was a collection of protests against the corrupt government and authoritarian/dictatorship regimes of the leaders in these countries. In Tunisia, the self-immolation of Mohamed Bouazizi, due to the corrupt government pressure, massive protests started to occur, which resulted in the overthrowing of these governments. Things after this weren’t completely sunshine and rainbows for the citizens of these countries, as extremist and terrorist groups began to take over these countries in place of the government.
