Description:
The Boxer Rebellion was a violent uprising in China, a group called the Boxers, mostly farmers, rose up against foreign influence and Christian missionaries in China. They wanted to drive out foreigners and restore China's traditions.
Foreign powers, including Britain, Japan, and Germany, sent troops to stop the rebellion. In the end, the Boxers were defeated, and China was forced to pay heavy compensations to foreign countries.
The rebellion showed China's weakness and increased foreign control over the country.
