Description:
Germany quickly conquered much of Western Europe through a series of rapid military campaigns, beginning with the invasion of France in May 1940. Using the Blitzkrieg strategy, Germany defeated France within six weeks, forcing the country to sign an armistice in June 1940. Germany had also gained control over Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and large parts of Scandinavia, establishing dominance over Western Europe.
