Description:
The Japanese Combined Fleet attacked the U.S. base on Midway Atoll. The battle ended the threat of further Japanese invasion in the Pacific. The U.S. was able to get an accurate idea of when and where the Japanese would appear by partially breaking the Japanese naval code.Added to timeline:
