Description:

字彦林，沛郡龙亢县（今安徽省怀远县龙亢镇）人。东汉大臣，经学大师桓荣玄孙。
桓彬初举孝廉，少与蔡邕齐名，拜尚书郎，与左右丞刘歆、杜希交善。得罪中常侍曹节，陷为朋党，因而见废。
光和元年（178年），卒于家，年四十六岁。蔡邕等共论序其志，树碑而颂之。
