Description:
Mao wasn't fond of the idea of inequality (such as those found in the Soviet Union though prioritizing urban areas over rural areas). Thus, he used the Great Leap Forward as a way to respond to these distortions in Chinese socialism.
Mao eventually forced to call the military to put the communist party back in control.
