Yalta Conference (feb 4, 1945 – feb 11, 1945)
Description:
The Yalta Conference, held in the Crimea peninsula, was between the three major Allied leaders of the Second World War; Franklin Roosevelt (USA), Winston Churchill (GBR) and Joseph Stalin (USSR). They dicussed the occupation of Nazi Germany and decided the fate of post-war Europe. Germany would be split into 4 zones, free elections in Europe would be held in Eastern Europe and The United Nations would replace the League of Nations.
