Description:

Albert Bandura introduced social learning theory, highlighting the importance of observational learning and modeling in acquiring behavior. His famous Bobo Doll experiment (1961) showed that children could learn aggressive behaviors by watching adults.
Social learning theory (1977) explains how people learn by observing and imitating others. Bandura later renamed this approach social cognitive theory to highlight the cognitive factors, such as attention and memory, that influence social learning.
His theory of Self-efficacy (1980) refers to an individual's belief in their own ability to succeed. Bandura was the first to show that a person's self-belief affects what they are willing to do, how they feel about their actions, and the amount of effort they put in.
