Crimean War - Italian involvement (jan 1, 1855 – apr 1, 1856)
Description:
Sardinia-Piedmont decides to jump in with the winners in the Crimean War, alongside France, Britain, and the Ottoman Empire. While they only sent 18,000 men, it would get them on France and Britain's good sides, while weakening Austria's influence on the Italian states. This would play a part in leading to unification, thanks to the shifting of powers.
