1848 Revolutions (jan 1, 1848 – aug 1, 1848)

Description:

In 1948, a large wave of revolutions swept across Europe. Italy and Germany were not exempt. In Italy, Giuseppe led a revolution of Italian states in order to establish a unified Italy. While having initial success, the Austrian army eventually hit back harder.In Germany, several unification rebellions would occur, including a draft for a unified constitution. However, these were all put down, and by 1850 the German confederation would be reestablished.
