Prusso-Danish War (feb 1, 1864 – oct 30, 1864)
Description:
This war was fought in order for Germany to maintain control of the regions of Schleswig, Holstein and Lauenburg. The war ended with the Treaty of Vienna, which saw Denmark cede the disputed territories to Prussia and Austria. This helped to further unify German-speaking areas in Europe, which contributed to the unification of Germany.
