2nd New Deal-
While the first new deal focused on
relief right away, the second new deal
created also by FDR focused on
creating social welfare programs.
These welfare programs were set in
place to help prevent a second
depression and to give Americans
assistance and a back bone to fall
onto if anything were to happen. The
main parts of the second new deal
were the Works Progress
Administration (WPA), the National
Labor Relations (Wagner) Act, the
Social Security Act, and the Wealth
Tax Act. (jan 1, 1935 – jan 1, 1938)
