HSRA and killing of British police official (dec 17, 1928 – dec 17, 1928)
Description:
Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru, and Chandra Shekhar Azad were revolutionary nationalists who called for removal of the colonial government through radical means. Bhagat Singh was part of the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association (HSRA) in 1928. He popularized the 'inquilab zindabad!' (long live the revolution!) which became a popular slogan of the HSRA. On 17 December 1928, the three men killed the police official responsible for the injuries suffered by Lala Lajpat Rai that caused his death.
