Swadeshi and Boycott movements (jan 1, 1905 – jan 1, 1905)
Description:
Due to the partition of Bengal, widespread boycott movements of British products took place, bonfires for foreign goods were held, people marched on the streets, and swadeshi banks, mills, insurance companies etc. were launched. Prominent leaders like Bipin Chandra Pal and Bal Gangdhar Tilak lead the movement. The british tried to supress the movement by arresting leaders.
