Proto-Indo-European (jan 1, 4000 BC – jan 1, 2500 BC)
Description:
This is the time period when what we in modern time could call "Proto-Indo-European" or PIE was spoken. This language has been theorized and reconstructed by comparing its descendants and applying historical linguistic theory. This language would go on to develop into many different language families represented by languages as diverse as for example English, Farsi, Italian, Russian and Hindi. The Indo-European language family as it is called is one of the largest on the planet.
